Oh dear. :-( We only let my dad do the grilling once when I was a kid. The burgers tasted more like the charcoal briquettes than like something that once was beef. I'm glad the batch you cooked turned out so nicely.

haha I don't usually like having other people cook for me. I am control freak when it comes to my food, how it's prepared, what it's cokoed with and how it plated/put into a sandwich. Wow, I sound like a crazy person.
On me and my former boyfriends second date he invited to his place to cook for me. He totally undercooked the meat! It was bad, but we still ate the sides and cooked pieces. Come to think of it, that happened more than once!

AHHH I would be so mad!!! I have to say, that's never happened to me before, as I have never had Nick do the cooking for me. And when he does, he's really good (he's cooked maybe three times in the 3.5 years we have been together!!). So I give Mitch props for taking on the taste, but yikes, he needs to learn a few things. Ugh, I know what you mean too about having to spend extra money on the "better" chicken...and then to see it ruined, yuck. I'm glad you at least had a decent alternative, which looks like it turned out pretty good!

Hahaha, ohno! I guess sometimes it's just better to do things yourself :) Although, I don't know how to grill, so I may end up with the charred chicken. I'm always getting my poor boyfriend (who only knows how to bbq steak) to grill veggie things for me. One time I gave him a slab of marinated tofu and he had no idea what to do with it. I too, ended up with a brick of black protein :P

Ouch....those look like some nasty chicken breasts. I'm a big fan of "If you want something done right, you need to do it yourself."
YOUR chicken breasts look much better!!!
