Zocalo is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. Another place you have to try is in South Park. It’s called Alexander’s. It’s Italian. On the corner of Upas/30th/Ray. Yes, it’s on the corner of 3 streets. AMAZING.

Wow. That meal looks and sounds delicious! Miguel’s (in Coronado and Pt. Loma) has a very similar white dip that they serve with their chips. Heavenly, but so…SO dangerous.

Is this the restaurant we went to for our starter margarita(s) one of the nigths we went out while visiting? Because I’m pretty sure I remember that white sauce. I don’t mess around when it comes to my mexican condiments.

There’s a Zocalo in 4S by me and I’ve been a couple of times and enjoyed it both times. Thanks for the review….the soup looks especially good!

I think we’ve got to have big dinners like that once in a while!! It’s okay to pass on the chips and salsa (if that’s possible), drinks and dessert most of the time. But sometimes we just need to have it alllll. For the sake of both our tastebuds and mental sanity

There is a restaurant in Atlanta called Zocalo too. I wonder what the word means.

I hear ya on the chips and salsa. I went a little nuts at a Mexican restaurant this weekend too. And when you add some guacamole into the mix, it’s all over for me.

Also, I don’t really go out to restaurants very often, mainly because I’m a poor college student saving up money for grad school. I’m glad you were able to muster the courage to take pics though – I must admit I’d feel self-conscious doing that too!
