Good morning! It’s cloudy and cool here in San Diego, but that’ll probably change later. It always does. I am so ready for fall…I think everyone in blogland is saying that these days…but I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to fall more. I am positive think part of the reason for that is that I am OVER this diet program. I am getting great results (see below), and I love how much slimmer and more toned I look and feel, but honestly, I’m hungry and grumpy pretty much all the time and I’m having trouble deciding if it’s worth it. I think in the end, it will be, and I’m not about to quit at this point in the game, but as I’ve mentioned before…I’m counting down the days until this is over. Eight weeks down, four to go! I GOT THIS!!!
That being said, here are my stats from this last week’s weigh in
Weight Loss: 11.1 lbs (his scale is a tad generous; I think it’s more of a 9 lb loss but whatever!)
Fat Loss: 17.75 lbs
Navel Inches Loss: 7.25
Total Inches Loss: 20.25
Those numbers are pretty cool, right? I weighed myself this morning though (I know, Danger Will Robinson!) and I was up a little, but honestly, I’m too tired to stress about it. I’m really honestly doing the best I can and I know I have that to be proud of.
(The funny thing is that when he measured me, I actually went up in my arm measurements…I am just not meant to have Michelle Obama’s arms and I think I’m finally at peace with that.)
I’m waiting for my breakfast (oatmeal and one scoop whey protein powder…story of my life!) to digest and then I’m off to workout. I haven’t done a Saturday morning workout in awhile but since I skipped Thursday’s bootcamp, technically I need to make up a class. Really though, I actually want to exercise outdoors and challenge myself in a different way that usual. And it doesn’t help that I get to do my workout here:
(photo credit…hope this is OK I took it! Flickr rules confuse me a bit)
Then I’m getting an oil change, doing some cleaning around the house, and I’m not sure what else. Tomorrow I’m running 3.5 miles per my 10k plan (I think that might actually be a distance PR so wish me luck!) and walking Nina before my friend’s housewarming party. It’s a lot of exercise for this weekend, but that’s a good thing because a) I feel antsy—not sure why—and exercise is great for burning off nervous energy and b) tomorrow is one of two “free days” on my diet plan where we can eat whatever we want.
Now, I’m going to splurge a little at the party but I don’t want to overdo it, so it’ll be interesting. I already know I’m making a Green Monster (Mitch thinks it’s funny I’d have a smoothie for breakfast when I could have anything I wanted, but I think my blog friends can relate) and other than that I’m going to work on some intuitive eating—that is, eating what I’m craving, in an amount that satisfies me, but not overeating. We’ll see how it goes!

Wow, very cool!! Great job on your stats so far, what an amazing accomplishment. And boy am I jealous of your workout scenery! I get to enjoy cars, roads, and leaves (although I love leaves, but today they are soaking wet!).

Your progress has been great! What do you think you will incorporate from your plan once the program is over?
Speaking of weather in San Diego, I’m going to be there in 2 weeks for a friend’s wedding. Will it still be warm?
